CASHCOR: #hoodrich
South Jersey’s own Cashcor grew up surrounded by music, from his father’s love of hip hop legends like Jay-Z, Nas, and Dipset to his mother’s gospel and cultural influences. Those sounds shaped him early, but it wasn’t until about three years ago that he officially decided to create his own path as an artist. What started as a simple birthday experiment, just wanting to make a song for fun, quickly turned into a passion that he couldn’t ignore.
For Cashcor, rap is more than just music; it’s poetry. He admires the knowledge that comes with rhyme schemes, layers, and pockets, and he’s developed an unorthodox yet simplistic style that others often struggle to categorize. Inspiration for him comes from everywhere: fashion, wrestling, nature, cities, the greats he grew up listening to, and the peers he creates alongside today.
At 26, the Willingboro native has already dropped two projects, including his latest studio album Hoodrich. This album holds special weight, as it’s something he envisioned from the start of his career but trusted divine timing to bring to life. With the support of loved ones and his community, Hoodrich became not just a body of work but a story of growth, patience, and faith.
And he’s not slowing down anytime soon. Cashcor will be headlining his own show on October 4th, bringing his music and energy directly to the people who’ve been riding with him since day one.
He sums up his journey with gratitude: “I wouldn’t make it this far if it wasn’t for each and every single person I ever talked to since doing music. You all hold a piece in my heart and for that I thank you. #soufside4ever.”- Snxwdxll
