Meet Deemone Starr, a 24-year-old rising artist from Trenton, NJ, who’s just getting started on her musical journey and is already killing it.
Her journey began back in 2018, when she started making beats for fun in her uncle’s studio. By 2020, that passion turned serious, and she’s been locked in ever since. Music has always been in her DNA; her father, a true music connoisseur, surrounded her with a wide range of sounds growing up, even enrolling her in violin, drums, and piano classes. By 7th grade, Deemone had even taught herself how to play guitar. That early exposure shaped the versatile, fearless artist she is today.
When it comes to inspiration, Deemone Starr draws from legends and trailblazers alike: Sade, Kelis, Rico Nasty, Nicki Minaj, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Kid Cudi, Bktherula, Willow Smith, and Hayley Williams, to name a few. Above all, she admires authenticity, artists who stay true to themselves, no matter the trends.
Her first release, Flawless Like M3 on SoundCloud, set the tone for what was to come. Since then, she’s dropped her latest single DGAF (available on all platforms), giving fans a taste of her bold, dynamic style. Her new track Get Rich, and she’s currently working on her very first EP, so stay tuned.
Deemone Starr isn’t just putting in work behind the mic, she’s proving herself on stage, too. Her very first live performance was at the DXLLHXUSE showcase, where she killed it and showed the crowd what she’s capable of. Now, she’s gearing up for her upcoming performance in ATL at Life is Better on Eclipse, where her star power is bound to shine even brighter.
