At just 16 years old, South Florida’s own Vax is already proving that age has nothing to do with impact. Growing up in a musically gifted family, with parents who loved R&B and rap and an older brother who sparked his passion, Vax found his calling early. “My big brother was and is my biggest inspiration forever,” he says — and that energy has fueled his creative grind ever since.
Blending rap, trap, indie, EDM, and R&B, Vax has crafted a sound that’s both bold and experimental — shaped by influences ranging from SoundCloud icons like Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and XXXTentacion to indie favorites like Beabadoobee and keshi. Even cartoons like Steven Universe and Adventure Time have helped shape his colorful, genre-bending world.
While his early BandLab tracks like SLEEZARO and my time were just the start, Vax has come a long way since then. Now, he’s gearing up to drop his first fully self-produced and self-engineered project, FULL CTRL — a tape packed with addictive flows, bouncy beats, and proof that he’s in full command of his craft.
