DESTIN MILES: STAR POWER ✨🛸✨
At 24 years old, South Jersey’s own Destin Miles is on a mission to prove he’s got star power, and to show everyone they have it too.
Destin’s music journey started in the summer of 2018, just for fun. But a few years later, he decided to take it seriously. Growing up around Glassboro, he split time between Jersey and California, an experience that shaped both his perspective and his sound.
Rock was his first love. “I really used to love bands like All Time Low, Paramore, Pierce the Veil, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance,” he shares. Those roots still run deep, but over time his influences expanded to rap and R&B, with artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, Kanye, X, and Juice WRLD all helping shape his creative palette.
It’s why his music bounces between genres without losing authenticity. “I enjoy creating sounds that are authentic to me and what I like to listen to,” he explains. “You’ll see me bounce back and forth because of that.”
Ask him who inspires him, and you’ll get a list that mixes big names with the homies pushing him to go harder. “Newer acts like Tana, SoFaygo, Novulent, and even smaller artists I know personally like Indo2x, Jwasabi, Hellsentxo, Nitro, Crystal Genesis,” he says. On the production side, it’s all love for his friends: Brad Curham, Census, Supera, TwonTwon, Roman Ricardo, and Tom Musain. “They really dedicate themselves to this shared love of music and continuously create inspiring sounds that make me want to record over it.”
Destin’s earliest tracks are still up on SoundCloud. They might not be his cleanest work, but he keeps them there so people can hear the evolution. That progression hit a new peak with his latest album, STAR POWER.
“The essence of STAR POWER is for you to see me as a star and believe in yourself to do the same exact thing for yourself,” he explains. The process wasn’t easy, it meant making 100 songs and picking the best ones. “This is only the beginning, but to those who gain inspiration through it, I appreciate you all and I hope you’re in for the ride I’m going to take you on.”
And he’s not stopping there.
