Meet LORDSONTOS, a 19 year-old artist from Allentown, PA, who turned loss into fuel for his creativity. After Juice WRLD’s passing, the spark to make music first hit him, and when the world shut down during COVID, he finally had the time to lock in and chase it. What started as an idea has now grown into a lane that’s entirely his own. One thing about LORDSONTOS: you can’t put him in a box. His music is constantly shifting, every project tells a story, and sometimes that means bending genres to get the emotions across. “I like my projects to tell stories,” he says, and his upcoming release I Don’t Pray Anymore is set to do just that. Pulling inspiration not just from life, but from the darker aesthetics of films and games like Coraline, Silent Hill 2, and Let Me In, the project paints an unfiltered picture of his last few months , heartbreak, trauma, losing family, and life moving too fast.
Musically, he’s inspired by talented artists such as A$AP Rocky, Earl Sweatshirt, Lucki, and Young Thug. But his biggest motivators are the people closest to him: his cousin, who produces his beats, and his friend YKBrando, who’s been there through it all, both personally and creatively. That support system keeps him pushing forward.
His first songs may be “lost in time” (and he’ll tell you himself they were ass 😂), but they were just the start of his evolution. His latest single DGAF has been setting the tone for his sound, and his highly anticipated album I Don’t Pray Anymore is slated to drop September 18th. Fans can also catch him live at Coast 2 Coast in Philly on September 24th and the Cash Cow show in Philly on October 3rd.
